4. Do 10 songs and post. Make sure to include the song name/artist.

Character: SETO KAIBA

1) Last Resort - Papa Roach

Kaiba drew a card. This was his last resort. He stared down his opponent, and growled silently to himself. This man was the reason for all of his misery these past few weeks. He could feel his sanity deteriorating because of him. He sighed. The duel wasn't looking too swell for him, but he knew from experience that anything could happen.

He struggled to keep his mind straight. There was something... off about this duel. There was a strange suffocating, purple cloud. He drew a card and looked at it. He laughed cruelly. He really thought he was going insane, but this was his last resort after all.

"You're in luck," he laughed. "I have drawn my Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" He increased his  maniacal laughter at the man's scared face. "Prepare to burn in the airless burning pits of hell!! You'll pay for what you have done!"

2) Dragula - Rob Zombie

"Dead I am the one..." Kaiba hummed ironically to himself, watching the young man from his post on top of the construction building. He took in a deep breath of crisp, night air. New strength poured into his muscles, and he grinned, flashing long white fangs.

Now! He jumped down, enjoying a thrill of falling before landing silently. He wrapped his arms around the blond young man, holding him in place.

"Nyeh!" the man shouted in Brooklyn SURPRISE. Before anything else could be said, Kaiba sunk his vampire teeth into Joey Wheeler's neck. Sweet fluid filled his mouth, and he drank to his fill. Soon, his victim slumped, loose and limp.

"STOP!" a new voice shouted. "I'LL KILL YOU, DEMON!"

Kaiba turned and grinned. "I can never die," he said, and he melted into the shadows before Yami Yugi could shoot a flamethrower at him

3) Horse With No Name - America

The tall brunette stood at the top of the desert hill. He sighed and turned to his companion. This desert meant more to him than his companion could ever realize. He had spent his childhood in rain. Rain enough to drown.

But he had kept swimming towards the surface. And this desert symbolized his escape from the drowning waters. The Pharaoh looked at him.

"Happy to be in Egypt?" he said.

"You could say that," Kaiba replied, looking away and towards the town.

He decided he loved the desert. He looked back at the Pharaoh and shrugged. The sky had darkened with the yearly downpour. "It's time to go," the Pharaoh said. "Before the desert drowns again."

Kaiba nodded. Maybe Egypt would drown, but he would always remember the adventures that took place here. Maybe... when it's a desert again... he'll return. Yes... someday, he'll return.

4) Drops of Jupiter - Train

Kaiba grinned at the woman sitting across from him. She was fiddling with her purse, trying to find a ringing cell phone.

He didn't know how it had happened. Love came so quickly. He himself never thought he would succumb to such petty things. Perhaps he was reading too many fanfictions... but still. He couldn't help but compare this beautiful woman to a goddess.

"How was your trip?" he asked her. She smiled at him. Oh, how he loved that smile.

"It was brilliant," she said. "You should come next time."

"What was it, soul trips?" he asked.

"Yes."

"So, where did you go?"

"Space."

Kaiba smiled. "Did you sail across the sun? Did you fall from a shooting star?"

She smiled, and didn't reply right away. He reached across the table and grasped her hair.

"So tell, did you find yourself out there."

She glanced up, surprised. "Uh... Well..." She stared into his blue eyes, and she could tell that he thought she was worth more than Heaven. "Yes," she said confidently. "I did."

They both leaned forward and kissed.

5) On My Way Home - Enya

Kaiba sat on the bench. He was tired, but happy. He had chased this dumb cat in his lap all across town. And for what?

For Mokuba. The little kitten was curled on his lap, and he rubbed its neck. The sun was beginning to set, and Graylight (the cat) purred contentedly. Kaiba watched the sun slowly sink below the Domino skyline, and thought that if angels were to sing, it would be now.

He stood up. It was time to go home. He started walking, and felt happiness surge through him. He looked back down at the small gray furball relaxing in his arms. Ever since Graylight had entered his life, he'd had two rambunctious creatures to look after. But it taught him important lessons, one of which was to appreciate life. He smiled again. He was on his way home in more than one way.

6) John the Revelator - Depeche Mode

Music surged across the blinking dance floor. Limber bodies danced eagerly, unaware of the dangers of being in this very room.

Kaiba looked to his right, and then to his left. His teammates were there, waiting for his signal. He felt his vampire fangs stretch in his mouth, but he forced himself to wait. He wanted to soak in the moment. This wasn't just any night. This was game night. He was leading two newbies, and he wanted to savor it.

He bowed his head and snapped his fingers. The two people at the edge of his vision disappeared into the crowd, and he followed suit. This was going to be fun.

The light was dim. No one would see it coming. Game Night... he sighed. This was going to be a lot of fun. He checked that the doors were locked, and picked out his first victim. Oh, how he was going to enjoy this. He attacked.

7) 3 a.m. - Matchbox 20

Young Seto prepared to go outside, but his mother stopped him. "It's cold outside," she said, handing him a raincoat. He rolled his eyes, but he took the coat anyway and ran out the front door. "You be careful, now!" she called after him. He turned and waved.

"Love you!" he yelled.

Later that night, Seto got up late from a strange nightmare. He headed out of his room to walk it off and strolled himself into the kitchen. How strange, his mother was there. It couldn't have been later than 3 a.m.

"What are you doing up?" Seto asked.

His mother looked at him and smiled softly. "It's three a.m. and it's raining. I enjoyed the sound, but not your dad's snoring... so I came down here. I must be lonely, so early in the morning."

Seto frowned and went over to hug his mother. "You're not lonely, you've got me, right?"

"Yes... Forever and ever."

8) The Pretender - Foo Fighters

Kaiba forced his eyes open and hissed at the bright lights. But they were soon  blocked out by faces looming over him. He mustered up the strength to stand up and found himself in a... cardboard box, with gigantic kittens?

No... they weren't big, HE was small!!! He spun quickly, getting a good look at himself. He was on four paws... he had a fluffy tail. He was a cat!!!!! What had happened.

"One of these is not like the others. One of these is your brother," one of the faces said. "Pick the correct one, and we'll change him back."It sounded really loud to Kaiba's ears.

He looked up at the faces again. One of them was his brother's! He stood up on his hind legs and put his front paws on the side of the box.

"Mokuba!" he meowed, "It's me!! I'm  the one!" Mokuba looked worried and confused, but nevertheless, he said:

"You can't keep my big brother and I apart!" He scanned the cute, mewing faces, studying each one. He reached out a hand and...

9)Cut - Plumb

It wasn't raining, but he thought it should be. No, it was a brilliantly nice day. It was as if the day was saying, "Haha! You suck! We don't care about you!"

He stood very, very still and straight. He was looking at the Kame Game shop. He wasn't entirely sure why, but all he knew was that he was lonely. And with Mokuba gone... No, he wouldn't think about that. It would only give the laughing sun what it wanted.

He was... afraid, and he didn't want to be. He hated being scared. But he couldn't think of anything. His mind was cold and numb, and he stared at the front door for what felt like hours.

Finally, Yugi came out, and stopped when he saw Kaiba. They stared at each other for a few, long moments. "Why are you here?" Yugi finally, slowly asked.

"I don't know," he answered truthfully.

Yugi switched places with the Pharaoh. "Kaiba, is something wrong?"

He felt his throat choke up. "Yes."

10) 45 - Shinedown

Mokuba choked back his tears, gave up, and let them slide down his face. Yugi patted his back in a comforting manner. The raven-haired boy felt like he was stabbed in the gut, shot in the head, impaled in an oubliette... He never thought that this was possible.

He looked behind him at the meager turnout. Did no one care? Did no one feel like he did?

He was grateful for Yugi being there. He felt that Yugi was the only one who truly cared, like him. The others were there because Yugi was.

"It's going to be okay, Mokuba," Yugi said.

Mokuba sobbed into the other boy's shoulder. "No, it's not! He's gone, he's gone! My life is nothing without him! How can you say it will be okay!?!?"

Yugi continued rubbing his back. "You can't give up now. It's not what he would've wanted."

Mokuba nodded and looked into the casket and his big brother's pale, cold, dead face. He would continue. For him. For Seto Kaiba.
I'm horrible at short stories, but I tried. This is fun! I didn't technically get tagged, but it looked like fun.

I'm not gonna "tag" anyone, but you can do it if you like!

My last entry is depressing... o.o;;
